Chicago Blackhawks Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest piece, we will be looking at the Chicago Blackhawks.

Max Domi: The Blackhawks may have traded Max Domi before the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline passed, but there's a good chance that they will pursue him this summer. The 2013 first-round pick made it clear that he loved his time as a Blackhawk, so a reunion could surely be in order. With that, he thrived in Chicago, as he had 18 goals and 49 points in 60 games.

Vinnie Hinostroza: The Blackhawks should also consider a reunion with Vinnie Hinostroza. The 29-year-old can be had at a very cheap price, as he has split this season between the NHL and AHL with the Buffalo Sabres organization. However, when noting that he has provided solid secondary scoring at times throughout his career, they could consider signing him to a one-year deal. If he bounces back, he would be a decent trade piece at the deadline.

Karson Kuhlman: Although the Blackhawks are rebuilding, they will likely look to add depth forwards this offseason. One player who could make sense for them because of this is Karson Kuhlman. The 27-year-old has appeared in 45 games this season split between the Seattle Kraken and Winnipeg Jets, where he has three goals and four helpers.
