Columbus Blue Jackets Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Boone Jenner
Changes are on the way for the Columbus Blue Jackets this offseason after their terrible 2022-23 campaign. Boone Jenner has emerged as a possible trade candidate because of this, so let's look at three potential landing spots for him.
Toronto Maple Leafs: The Toronto Maple Leafs had a confirmed interest in Jenner leading up to the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline, and that is likely to carry over to the summer. After all, they have multiple pending UFA forwards, and Jenner would be a great addition to their middle six because of his scoring ability and physical style of play.
Colorado Avalanche: The Colorado Avalanche are likely to call Columbus about Jenner this offseason. Their center depth took a big hit last offseason when they lost Nazem Kadri, and now they have multiple centers who are pending UFAs as well. Jenner would give them a solid long-term at 2C, so it is something they are likely to consider.
Vancouver Canucks: The Vancouver Canucks are expected to pursue a center this offseason, so they could be in the mix for Jenner. However, they will need to move out some salary as well, as they have limited cap space heading into the summer.
