Los Angeles Kings Rumors: Defenseman to be Moved

The Los Angeles Kings have a surplus of right-shot defensemen, and they are likely to move Sean Walker this summer because of it.

Walker is set to enter the final year of his contract this offseason and carries a $2.65 million cap hit. Overall, he certainly does not come cheap for a bottom-pairing defenseman, but there still could be some interest in him given his past success. His 2022-23 season was a bit quiet, however, as he had three goals, 13 points, and a minus-3 rating.

Teams looking to improve the right side of their defensive group could consider making a push for Walker. Some specific clubs who have been linked to him in the past include the Ottawa Senators, Buffalo Sabres, Winnipeg Jets, and Toronto Maple Leafs. We will now need to wait and see if he does in fact get moved this offseason from here.
