Minnesota Wild Rumors: Forward Becoming Trade Candidate
The Minnesota Wild's season is over after being knocked out by the Dallas Stars. Now, they are in for a busy offseason, and one player who is starting to emerge as a trade candidate for them is winger Marcus Foligno.
Foligno is entering the final year of his contract, and due to the Ryan Suter and Zach Parise buyout penalties, they may have trouble inking him to an extension. Therefore, they are expected to listen to offers for him during the summer.
Teams looking for more production in their bottom six and grit in their bottom six should consider making a push for Foligno. In 65 games this season, the 31-year-old had seven goals, 21 points, and 97 penalty minutes.
Expect teams like the Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders, Detroit Red Wings, and Calgary Flames to be some of the teams in the mix for the gritty winger this summer from here.
