New York Rangers Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason
Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.
In this latest piece, we will be focusing on the New York Rangers.
Michael Bunting: If the Rangers lose Patrick Kane and/or Vladimir Tarasenko this offseason, they will be on the hunt for a top-six winger. As a result, one free agent who they will surely consider is Michael Bunting. The 27-year-old is having another very strong season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, as he has 22 goals and 47 points in 76 games.
Tyler Bertuzzi: Tyler Bertuzzi also could be an option for them if they lose Kane and/or Tarasenko. The 28-year-old winger is starting to pick up his play now that he is healthy, as he has three goals and nine points in 16 games since being traded to the Boston Bruins.
Adin Hill: The Rangers will be on the hunt for a backup goalie this summer if Jaroslav Halak's time in New York ends. As a result, one backup who could make sense for them is Adin Hill. He has quietly had an excellent season with the Vegas Golden Knights, as he has a 16-7-1 record and .915 SV%.
