NHL Announce 2023 Global Series
The NHL has been doing good work in attempting to grow the game globally in the past few years, and in 2023, they'll be heading into new territory once again, as the league has announced the latest entrant in their Global Series for the 2023 season.
In September, the NHL is officially sending the Arizona Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings down under, as they will play two pre-season matchups in Melbourne, looking to spread the game into yet another potential territory.
It makes plenty of sense that this one isn't a regular season game, as the time difference would make it difficult on both teams, but if they send their best stars, this could no doubt be a very good endorsement of the NHL as they look to catch up to the worldwide appeal of the NFL, NBA and MLB.The #NHLGlobalSeries is heading to Melbourne, Australia! Catch the @ArizonaCoyotes & @LAKings down under September 23 & 24.
