NHL Rumors: Utah Jazz Owner Meets With NHL Commissioner
Over the past 5 years, the NHL has expanded not once but twice, with the Vegas Golden Knights and Seattle Kraken both entering the league, and now, it appears that the league has enjoyed their newfound success, and could be looking to expand once more.
Many cities have been linked to the next NHL expansion, with the likes of Houston, Atlanta, Regina and Quebec all arising, but this past week, a new city potentially entered the fray, as Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith met with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, showing interest in bringing the NHL to Utah.
With the NHL's latest expansion coming just two years ago, it's likely going to be another few seasons until it occurs, but with Utah's success in the NBA, it would certainly make sense as a destination for yet another NHL expansion.According to @FriedgeHNIC, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman met with @utahjazz Ryan Smith last week in New York.
