Ottawa Senators Eliminated From Playoff Contention
The Ottawa Senators were arguably the winners of the 2022 NHL off-season, but like we've seen in the past, nothing is won until the regular season is over, and unfortunately, despite all of their big moves, the Senators have fallen short of the playoffs.
Despite some great stretches throughout the year, Ottawa have fallen short in the Eastern Conference Wild Card race, currently held by Florida and New York, but with the good moves from this past off-season, there's a chance that next year they can take a step forward.
With standout performances from Tim Stutzle, Brady Tkachuk and Claude Giroux, there's plenty of hope and optimism for the future, but right now, the Senators will be going home early and will not be making the run that some fans optimistically predicted. With wins by Pittsburgh, Florida and the New York Islanders, the Ottawa Senators are eliminated from playoff contention.

Assuming the Senators do not jump up in the lottery, the Coyotes are going to have a very good, second first-round pick.
We’ll see where it falls.
