Ottawa Senators Head Coach Kicked Out vs Panthers
The Ottawa Senators had to finish Thursday night's matchup against the Florida Panthers without their head coach as DJ Smith was ejected in the third period.
It was a battle all night between Smith and the officials and it was clear by the third period the refs had heard enough of Smith's chirping. It all began with Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk took a run at Senators forward Alex DeBrincat.

Not too difficult to read his lips. #GoSensGo pic.twitter.com/uCTYrf1UcO
The Panthers went on to win the game 7-1 as they have become hot at the right time, propelling themselves into a wild card position in the Eastern Conference Stanley Cup Playoff race.
The Senators and Panthers combined for close to 140 minutes in penalties as there were six fighting majors, two game misconducts and a coach showed the door.
