Philadelphia Flyers Rumors: 2 Teams Linked to Kevin Hayes

The Philadelphia Flyers tried to trade Kevin Hayes before this season's trade deadline, but a move did not come to fruition. However, the Flyers are expected to resume trade talks centering around the veteran forward, and there are reportedly two teams currently linked to him – the Columbus Blue Jackets and St. Louis Blues.

The Blue Jackets and Flyers had trade discussions about Hayes leading up to the deadline, but the two teams did not pull the trigger on a deal. However, it is apparent that the Blue Jackets need help down the middle, and Hayes would be a solid option for them because of it. This is especially so if the Flyers retain a good portion of Hayes' salary in such a move. If acquired, Hayes would work well in their top six.

The Blues are looking to make changes to their group this summer after a poor 2022-23 season. It is clear that they also could use a boost at center, so it makes sense that they are considering Hayes as a trade target. With salary retained, he would be a nice addition to their group.
