Philadelphia Flyers Rumors: Team Looking At Two Female Canucks Executives For President Role

Over the past few weeks, it has been reported that Émilie Castonguay and Cammi Granato, the assistant general managers of the Vancouver Canucks, have caught the attention of multiple NHL teams for open executive positions, including the Philadelphia Flyers' vacant president of hockey operations role.

While Castonguay had interviewed for the Flyers position, she ultimately expressed contentment with her current role in Vancouver and is not expected to leave. However, there is still a possibility that Granato is being considered by the Flyers.

Castonguay and Granato were hired by the Canucks as the first female assistant general managers in franchise history over a year ago.

Castonguay is responsible for player contract negotiations, while Granato oversees player development and scouting. According to Vancouver hockey insider Rick Dhaliwal, agents view Castonguay as tough but fair, and the interest from other teams is seen as a positive sign for the Canucks' staff.
