Pittsburgh Penguins Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason
Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.
In this latest episode, we will be focusing on the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Vladimir Tarasenko: The Penguins could enter the Vladimir Tarasenko sweepstakes this offseason if they end up losing Jason Zucker. Tarasenko would provide them with a legitimate top-six winger, and he should be affordable when noting that he has had a bit of a down year. Perhaps putting him on a line with Evgeni Malkin would help his offensive totals skyrocket again.
Ryan Graves: Brian Dumoulin is a free agent this summer, and the Penguins will need to find a replacement for him if he walks. One player who would fill his role well is defenseman Ryan Graves. The 6-foot-5 d-man is having a strong season with the New Jersey Devils, as he has seven goals, 17 assists, and a plus-28 rating.
Joonas Korpisalo: The Penguins could look to switch things up in net if Tristan Jarry asks for too much money this offseason. Joonas Korpisalo could be a player to take a chance on, as he has had an excellent season split between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Los Angeles Kings. In 36 appearances, he sports a 16-13-4 record and .917 SV%.
