St. Louis Blues Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Targets
Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' Offseason Trade Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three players each team in the NHL should try to acquire through trade.
In this latest episode, we will be looking at the St. Louis Blues.
Brock Boeser: After trading away Vladimir Tarasenko, the Blues should be on the hunt for a top-six winger this offseason. As a result, look for them to be active in the Brock Boeser sweepstakes this summer. He would fit nicely in their top six and on their top power play until as they aim to turn things around in 2023-24.
Nick Schmaltz: The Blues also could look to bring in a top-six center this summer, and Nick Schmaltz would be a worthwhile trade target because of it. The versatile forward can play both center and right wing and has quietly been excellent for the Arizona Coyotes these last few seasons. In 61 games this season, he has 21 goals, 56 points, and a plus-3 rating on a bad Coyotes club.
Kevin Labanc: The Blues could also look at San Jose Sharks forward Kevin Labanc as a trade target. He would require fewer assets to acquire than the two players listed above, but he would still be a great fit in their middle six. In 69 games this season, the 27-year-old winger has 15 goals and 33 points.
