Myers was getting some attention leading up to the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline, and that is likely to occur during this summer as well. After all, he is a solid second-pairing defenseman while playing at his best, as he plays a steady defensive game and can chip in a bit offensively in the process.

Myers carries a $6 million cap hit until the end of the 2023-24 season, so it is possible that Vancouver would be open to retaining a small portion of his salary to help make a move come to fruition. Teams who need help on the right side of their defensive group and have money to work with are likely to make a push for Myers from here.
