Winnipeg Jets Confirm Top Star Will Miss Game 5
The Winnipeg Jets had a solid regular season in 2022/23, as they clinched the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference, but after four games against the Vegas Golden Knights, they find themselves on the verge of elimination on Thursday night for Game 5.
Unfortunately, they'll have to save off elimination on the road in Vegas without one of their best leaders, as Mark Scheifele has officially been ruled out for Game 5, and is questionable for Game 6 if the series goes that far.
The Jets were already considered a major underdog coming into this series, but with no help from the refereeing and injury situation, it's become a whole lot harder, so they'll be looking to play their best tonight, even if a comeback from 3-1 down seems highly unlikely. The Winnipeg Jets will be without Mark Scheifele for Game 5 against the Golden Knights on Thursday. pic.twitter.com/N71NthjuHN
