2 Potential Trade Destinations for Bruins Linus Ullmark
Dating back to last summer, the Boston Bruins were receiving trade interest on goaltender Linus Ullmark. Now, with a summer of uncertainty coming in Bean Town, the Bruins could be in the market to move the expected Vezina trophy winner as they look to re-tool their team on the fly. Jeremy Swayman is under contract and capable so the Bruins could look to move Ullmark to get some help up front. Here's a few potential trade destinations:
Los Angeles Kings
The Kings were happy with Joonas Korpisalo down the stretch, however it's not set in stone a contract extension gets completed with the pending free agent. If Korpisalo walks, look for the Kings to inquire about what the Bruins are asking for Ullmark. Their first order of business may be figuring out what to do with Cal Petersen. Interesting times in the Kings crease.
Pittsburgh Penguins
There's a lot of attention on the Penguins as they cleaned house and are searching for a new executive team. Early word is they are looking at other options besides Tristan Jarry for next season, and Ullmark could fit the bill. His no-movement clause changes to a modified trade clause covering 16 teams. It would rare to see a goalie trade in the same conference, but this could come down to two teams looking to fill gaps.
It will be interesting to see how the Bruins retool. GM Don Sweeney admitted this week the roster will look much different next season so there's lots to look forwards to for fans in Boston.
