3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations for Jonathan Toews
The Chicago Blackhawks gave Jonathan Toews a nice farewell this season and made things very clear for this upcoming summer. Toews won't be back in Chicago and the team and the player are moving on. Toews expects to play next season as he's hopeful the health concerns are behind him. Here's a few potential destinations for the future hall of famer:
Winnipeg Jets
With Pierre-Luc Dubois expected to be traded, a new leadership group expected to be created, it's likely Toews signs with his hometown Jets. There's likely mutual interest here and considering it would be a cost-effective move for the Jets, the match does make a ton of sense.

Colorado Avalanche
After losing Nazem Kadri the Avalanche tried a number of options at center on the team's second line and unfortunately it didn't work out. Toews could be a nice compliment to the group and could give the team another option down the middle. He's been linked to Colorado in the past and expect the two to have conversations this summer.
Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins are desperate for a third-line center and could add another veteran in Toews. Pittsburgh is expected to buy out Jeff Carter, and will have over $20 million in cap space to work with come free agency. The team can easily get back into contention and Toews wouldn't need to be 'the guy' or anything close. Talk about leadership in the dressing room, this match would be fun to watch.
