Calgary Flames Defenceman Expected To Return In 2023/24
It's hard to categorize the 2022/23 Calgary Flames squad as anything other than a massive disappointment, and while there were many, many reasons for their struggles, it appears that the off-season has already made fans around Calgary optimistic about the future.
Not only have they let go of coach Darryl Sutter, but during the press conference around that, interim General Manager Don Moloney revealed that Oliver Kylington, a key piece of their defensive core has been in contact with the organization, and will indeed return to the team for the 2023/24 season.
In 73 games in 2021/22, Kylington set a career high of 31 points (9 goals, 22 assists) in 73 games, and his offensive prowess and consistency was missed sorely last season, so after a leave of absence which hasn't been explained, it appears Calgary is at least getting one home grown starter back for next season.Don Maloney said he talked to Oliver Kylington last week and was told Oliver was excited to come back to the Flames next season.
