Colorado Avalanche Rumors: Top-Six Winger On Team's Radar

The Colorado Avalanche were given brutal injury news when it was announced that Gabriel Landeskog is set to miss all of next season. This will be the second season in a row where Landeskog does not play a game. As a result of this, Colorado is ready to bring in a top-six winger, and Tyler Bertuzzi is on their radar because of it.

The Boston Bruins are hoping to keep Tyler Bertuzzi, but their limited cap space and several other free agents will make that quite challenging. As a result, there is a general feeling that Bertuzzi will hit the market, and Colorado would be wise to snatch him up. He would be an excellent replacement for Landeskog and provide the Avalanche with another quality forward to work with.

Bertuzzi posted 30 points in 50 games this season split between the Detroit Red Wings and Bruins. Injuries at the beginning of the season impacted his production negatively, but he picked it up immensely following his move to Boston, as he recorded 26 points in 28 total games (regular season and playoffs). Adding that kind of production to Colorado's top six would be massive.

We will need to wait and see if the Avalanche can successfully sign Bertuzzi from here.
