Dallas Stars Defenseman Calls Himself Out After Game 6
The Dallas Stars could not close out their second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series on Saturday night, thanks to a balanced attack from the Seattle Kraken. The Stars lost 6-3 and if you ask defenseman Esa Lindell about the game, he'll likely take most of the blame for the loss.
Lindell spoke to reporters after the Kraken victory and had this to say:
I'm just so disappointed at myself, too. Only thing now is to move on and get prepared for Game 7 and be way, way better in that one. I don't know if I've played that bad for a long time. It felt they got odd-mans, won battles, all the things we've been good at before went sideways today.
Lindell is one of the Stars best and most consistent defensemen throughout the entire season, however in Game 6 he struggled, posting a -4 rating. Regardless, Dallas is going to need the steady blueliner at his best on Monday as they look to finish off the Kraken in a seventh and deciding game.
