Golden Knights Alex Pietrangelo Playing Victim Card
After one of the most vicious two-handed slashes in NHL history, Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo is calling out the Edmonton Oilers for targeting him late in their second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series.
Pietrangelo, who was suspended one game for his brutal slash on Oilers star Leon Draisaitl, believes Edmonton's players should be suspended for some of the runs they are taking at him:
It's pretty obvious what's going on. I mean, there's premeditated stuff, I'm pretty sure, coming at me. (The department of player safety) didn't really seem to care in the meeting, but I'll get up and take it. You know, I'm not going to lay on the ice like what's going on and we've been seeing. So, I'll get up and play the game the way it needs to be played.
