Injury Update On Golden Knights' Star Goalie; Missed Entire 2022-23 Season
Often overshadowed amidst the Vegas Golden Knights' goalie carousel, Robin Lehner has been sidelined for the entirety of the 2022-23 campaign.
Initially, it was a significant shoulder injury sustained towards the end of the previous season that forced him out of action. However, the complications didn't end there. During the off-season, Lehner also had to undergo hip surgery, further extending his absence from the team.
Kelly McCcrimmon said Robin Lehner is still going through rehab for both hips that he had surgery on, but that he’s not up to speed on the exact progress.

When in optimal condition, Lehner is widely recognized as one of the premier goaltenders in the league. However, updates on his progress and recovery have been scarce, with Golden Knights' General Manager, Kelly McCrimmon, providing no recent information on his rehabilitation.
Lehner is currently undergoing rehab for both hips, but specifics regarding his timeline or return remain unknown.
Despite Lehner's absence, the Vegas Golden Knights managed, and continue to manage, a strong performance throughout the season. However, his extended recovery has led to speculation about the team's future plans.
If Lehner successfully recovers and regains his form, there is a possibility that he could become a trade candidate for the Golden Knights. Such a move would enable the team to free up valuable salary cap space.
