Lightning's Steven Stamkos Comments on Future in Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos is disappointed his team got bounced by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. His disappointment however isn't changing any of his feeling towards his playing future as Stamkos made it very clear during his exit interview, it's Tampa Bay or nothing.
'Stammer' met with the media as the team cleaned out their lockers and had this to say about what the future holds:
Steven Stamkos, who will enter the final year of his contract next season, said the #GoBolts jersey is the only one he wants to wear. Said there’s hopefully an extension conversation over the summer “and we’ll take it from there.” pic.twitter.com/OiE8gIXtmg

Stamkos finished the postseason with four points in six games after a regular season where he produced 84 points in 81 games. He's made $99 million as a member of the Lightning and heads into the final season of his contract next season. It sounds like a contract extension will be happening at some point this summer.
