Maple Leafs Rumors: Nylander Linked to Colorado Avalanche
The Toronto Maple Leafs were in the news for a number of reasons on Monday and one Leaf in particular was linked to an offseason trade. William Nylander has potential to be moved this summer as changes are brewing in Toronto.
Sportsnet's Jeff Marek mentioned on 32 Thoughts with Elliotte Friedman, stating Nylander is someone who he sees making a ton of sense for the Colorado Avalanche. At this point it's unknown who is going to be the GM next season, but all signs are pointing to Kyle Dubas re-signing. Dubas mentioned at the end of season press conference if he returns anything is on the table, so we'll see if this ends up materializing.
Marek on 32TP: "if you make William Nylander available, I know a lot of Nylander haters won't like to hear this, there will be a huge market for William Nylander...The one that keeps popping out to me when I think about if the Leafs want to go to market with Nylander is Colorado"

Nylander had a career season and at $6.9 million would fetch a nice return for Dubas but of course, this could be a risky move. We'll have to wait and see how the trade winds blow once the Leafs announce who the GM will be next season.
