New Jersey Devils Rumors: 2 Teams Linked to Miles Wood
Miles Wood's time with the New Jersey Devils could be coming to a close, as he is eligible for unrestricted free agency this summer. The bottom-six forward scored 13 goals and recorded 27 points in 76 games this season and is already generating interest from the Nashville Predators and Ottawa Senators because of it.
The Predators have plenty of cap space to work with this summer after being major sellers at the deadline. However, even after moving several assets, they were still competitive until the end of the year, and they could have a busy summer because of it. Wood would give them a potential third-line option and much more physicality. Therefore, there seems to be a very good match here on paper.
The Senators, on the other hand, have made it known that they want to add more secondary scoring to their group this summer. While playing at his best, Wood provides just that, so it makes sense that Ottawa has him on their radar. With that, he would also provide more toughness in their bottom six, which is a real necessity at this juncture.
Let's see if either of these clubs land him this summer.
