Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: "It feels like a failure"
The Edmonton Oilers were eliminated in six games by the Vegas Golden Knights and needless to say it's a tough pill to swallow. The team felt they had everything they needed to win the Stanley Cup this season and the loss certainly took it's toll after the game.
Oilers star Leon Draisaitl was visibly emotional after the loss and admitted the season was a failure:
It hurts. It's tough to find words right now. Obviously, when you start a season, you're in it to win it, and we're at that stage. If you don't complete that then it feels like a failure or a wasted year almost. It hurts.
It wasn't due to a lack of production from the German-born star as Draisaitl finishes the campaign with 13 goals and five helpers in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games. Here's more from the Oilers forward as some roster changes are likely once again on the way this summer in Edmonton.
