San Jose Sharks Rumors: 2 Teams Linked to Mario Ferraro

The San Jose Sharks are expected to have a busy summer as they continue their rebuild. Mario Ferraro is one of their most notable trade targets, and the Washington Capitals and New Jersey Devils are two teams expected to target him this summer.

The Capitals are looking to add a left-shot defenseman who is capable of playing top-four minutes. Ferraro has shown that he can handle that role while performing at his best, so it makes sense that he is on their radar. He would also be a great candidate to receive penalty-kill time on their current roster if acquired as well.

The New Jersey Devils have a notable pending UFA in Ryan Graves who they are hoping to keep around, but there is a good chance that he will test his value on the free-agent market. When noting that Ferraro plays a defensively-responsible game like Graves, he would be a nice replacement for them. With that, he can play the right side as well, so he could take over Damon Severson's role as well.
