Seattle Kraken Prepare For Huge Lineup Boost For Game 4

The Seattle Kraken are already surprising the Dallas Stars by holding a 2-1 series lead in their second-round matchup, but they just might also be on the verge of adding a 40-goal scorer to the lineup for Game 4 Tuesday night.

Jared McCann—the Kraken's leading scorer this season—was back on the ice for the team's morning skate, and head coach Dave Hakstol says we’ll probably see him during warmups and it'll be a game-time decision. Hakstol wouldn't confirm McCann's inclusion in the lineup for the game, but it seems to be trending that way.

McCann, who notched 40 goals and 70 points this season for the upstart Kraken, was injured on a hit by Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar in Game 4 of the opening round. He only started skating again with the team two days ago.

But if McCann is trending up, unfortunately, winger Daniel Sprong is headed in the other direction, and has been ruled out for Game 4.

Sprong left Game 3 in the second period with an upper-body injury and is day-to-day. He might not have been right since the beginning of the playoffs, however, having registered just one goal and one assist in the postseason thus far after a breakthrough regular season that saw him pot 21 goals and 46 points.
