Seattle Kraken To Miss Top Star To Begin Second-Round Series
If not for the Florida Panthers, the Seattle Kraken would lay claim to the biggest upset in the first-round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and now, their path leads them to the very tough Dallas Stars in a series that begins on Tuesday night.
Unfortunately though, the Kraken will be without one of their top stars at least to begin the series, as star forward Jared McCann didn't make the trip to Dallas, effectively ruling him out for the first two games of this series.
From there, it hasn't been confirmed whether or not McCann will return to the lineup when the series shifts to Seattle, but one thing is for certain, without their top goal and point scorer from the regular season, this series becomes that much harder. If there's no setback during his pregame nap, you'll see Joe Pavelski for #TexasHockey tonight. Full, healthy roster for Stars. No Jared McCann on the trip for #SeaKraken. Jake Oettinger vs. Philipp Grubauer in nets. #StanleyCupPlayoffs
