St. Louis Blues Rumors: 2 Teams Linked to Colton Parayko
The St. Louis Blues are expected to move out one of their expensive defensemen this offseason. Leading up to the deadline, they were taking calls on Colton Parayko, and that should carry over to the summer. Due to this, there are currently two teams being heavily linked to him – the Buffalo Sabres and Ottawa Senators.
The Sabres are looking to improve the right side of their defensive group. It is arguably the weakest part of their roster at this juncture, and bringing in a top-four defenseman like Parayko could help change that. The veteran defenseman would be a nice addition to their top pairing with Rasmus Dahlin and be a key part of their penalty kill.
The Senators are in the same boat as the Sabres. They are a team ready to take that next step and get back into the postseason, but they also clearly need a right-shot defenseman. Therefore, it is not too shocking to see that Parayko is a defenseman who they are reportedly considering.
Other teams to pay attention to in the Parayko sweepstakes include the Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Calgary Flames.
