The #Bolts have signed Matt Tompkins to a two-year, two-way deal. The 28-year-old played 32 games last season with Farjestad BK in Sweden, posting a .911 SV% & 2.53 GAA. The 28-year-old impressed with a 20-12 record, a .911 save percentage, and a 2.53 goals-against average during the 2022-2023 season.
Tomkins was also impressive on the international stage, representing Canada in the Beijing 2022 Olympics with a remarkable .962 save percentage, a 1.01 goals-against average, and a shutout in three games.
Selected in the seventh round of the 2012 NHL Draft, Tomkins spent four years in the Blackhawks' system without reaching the NHL.
