Washington Capitals Rumors: Ducks Forward Becoming Trade Target
The Washington Capitals are looking to strengthen their forward group for the 2023-24 season. As a result of this, they are browsing the trade market, and one player who is on their radar is Adam Henrique.
The Anaheim Ducks were open to moving Henrique at the deadline, but the veteran forward was injured right before it passed. As a result, Anaheim elected not to move him, but he is expected to be traded during the summer. He is in the final year of his contract, and he is coming off of a solid season, after all. Therefore, his trade value has improved.
In 62 games last season, Henrique scored a solid 22 goals and recorded 38 points. Overall, he has the potential to be a solid addition to the Capitals' middle six, as he would provide them with more secondary scoring. With that, this solid two-way game would make him work on both their power play and penalty kill.
We will now need to wait and see if Henrique becomes a Capital from here.
