Arizona Coyotes Rumors: 2 Teams Linked to Nick Schmaltz

The Arizona Coyotes are expected to move Nick Schmaltz this offseason, and he will garner a ton of interest. After all, he posted a solid 58-point campaign in 63 games this season and has emerged as a legitimate top-six forward over the years. As a result, two teams are already expected to target him this summer. Let's go over them now.

St. Louis Blues: The St. Louis Blues are looking to bounce back from a disastrous 2022-23 season. When noting that they parted ways with several forwards at the deadline like Ryan O'Reilly, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Noel Acciari, they will be looking to bring in more. With Schmaltz being able to play center and right wing, he would be a major addition to their top six. Thus, look for St. Louis to have him on their radar.

Pittsburgh Penguins: The Pittsburgh Penguins had a bad season like the Blues and missed the postseason. This is unfamiliar territory for Pittsburgh, and they are expected to make additions to their roster during the summer to try to turn things around. With Pittsburgh having money to work with, they could afford Schmaltz with relative ease. He would also be a nice replacement for Jason Zucker if the latter leaves through free agency.
