Arizona Coyotes Rumors: Clayton Keller Linked to Division Rival
Arizona Coyotes star forward Clayton Keller has been discussed in the rumor mill a bit this offseason. Now, it appears that things could be heating up, as Nick Kypreos has reported that the St. Louis Blues are interested in Keller.
The Blues recently brought in Kevin Hayes from the Philadelphia Flyers. He is a fine player, but he is also not the kind of star that the Blues need to get back to being a playoff team. However, adding a player like Keller would give them somebody like that.
Keller is coming off of the best season of his NHL career, and his trade value is at its highest because of it. Appearing in 82 games, the 2016 first-round pick set new career highs with 37 goals, 49 assists, and 86 points. It was a great year for the 24-year-old, and the Blues could surely use that kind of offensive production in their lineup.
We will now need to wait and see if the Blues bring the hometown kid to St. Louis from here.
