Carolina Hurricanes & Philadelphia Flyers Working On Trade
The Philadelphia Flyers may be finalizing a monster deal with the St. Louis Blues, but that is not the only trade that they are working on. According to Elliotte Friedman, the Flyers are also working to trade Tony DeAngelo to the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Flyers and Hurricanes made a trade centering around DeAngelo just last summer. In return, Philadelphia parted ways with a second-round pick, a third-round pick, and a fourth-round pick. Yet, the Hurricanes will not be giving Philadelphia that back in this deal, as it has been reported that the Hurricanes are not giving up much.
It is not that surprising to hear that DeAngelo is likely heading back to Carolina. He thrived there during the 2021-22 season, and they tried to acquire him before the deadline passed this season. Now, if all goes well during the final stages of these trade talks, they will do just that.
In 70 games this campaign with Philly, DeAngelo posted 42 points and a minus-27 rating in 70 games.
