Carolina Hurricanes Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Jack Drury

Reports recently surfaced that Carolina Hurricanes forward Jack Drury requested a trade last summer. Now, after an underwhelming season that saw him utilized sparsely, a move could very well be on the way. Let's discuss three teams who could be interested in the 23-year-old center.

Anaheim Ducks: The Anaheim Ducks are rebuilding and could see Drury as a player to target because of it. Although Drury's offensive game has not translated over to the NHL, he is viewed as having a good amount of potential. Perhaps receiving more playing time on a far weaker Ducks team could be the spark he needs to take that next step.

New York Rangers: The New York Rangers stand out as a prime landing spot for Drury. Rangers team president and GM Chris Drury is his uncle, and he also was roommates with Adam Fox at Harvard University. Perhaps this could lead to the Rangers calling him. They also have multiple free-agent forwards, so Drury could be in the running for a bottom-six spot if acquired.

Chicago Blackhawks: The Chicago Blackhawks are in a position to take a chance on Drury. They have several forward spots for the taking, and Drury could find success by having a notable role on their rebuilding roster.
