Ryan brings an elite defensive game, penalty-killing and a tremendous work ethic to the team. He'll earn $900K AAV on the two-year contract. It's a team-friendly deal, as the 36-year-old says he took $350,000 less to stay in Edmonton.
The veteran forward, who went undrafted, potted 13 goals and 20 points in 80 games this season, in just over 11 minutes of ice time per game. He recorded a solid plus/minus of +11, while netting a few career highs: shorthanded goals (2), blocked shots (42) and hits (54).
