New Jersey Devils Hire Former Canucks Head Coach
Former head coach of the Vancouver Canucks, Travis Green, has made an intriguing move by joining the coaching staff of the New Jersey Devils as an assistant under head coach Lindy Ruff.
In his new role, Green will be responsible for running the Devils' power play and aiming to enhance their 13th-ranked power play percentage from the previous season.

Green's decision to join the Devils seems astute, considering their talented roster and promising future.
With his experience leading the Canucks on a playoff run in the 2019-20 season, Green brings valuable expertise and potential to the team.
Additionally, his prior connection to the Devils organization through coaching the Utica Comets in the AHL adds familiarity to his new role.
While there are differing opinions on Green's coaching track record, some regard him as a capable coach who faced challenges due to management decisions during his time in Vancouver.

His appointment to improve the Devils' power play will be closely watched, as the team displayed inconsistent performance in that area under his guidance with the Canucks.
Green's decision to join the Devils over other interested teams reflects positively on the organization's improving reputation.
