New Jersey Devils Rumors: Forward Expected to be Shopped

After a strong 2022-23 season, the New Jersey Devils have a big offseason ahead of them. Timo Meier and Jesper Bratt are due for their next contracts, and it could lead the Devils to move another notable forward because of it - Yegor Sharangovich.

Like Meier and Bratt, Sharangovich is up for his next deal, and he is expected to get a raise. The latter is what could lead New Jersey to move him. It is important to note that his name did come up in the rumor mill as we inched closer to the deadline as well.

Sharangovich's 2022-23 was also quite disappointing, as he posted just 30 points in 75 games. This production is very low for his standards, and it could be another reason why the Devils elect to move him this summer.

Although the 25-year-old had a rough year, there should still be interest in him in the trade market. He has shown that he can be a solid second-liner when performing at his best, so let's see what the Devils elect to do with him from here.
