NHL Rumors: Flyers, Blue Jackets Engaged In More Trade Talks
The Philadelphia Flyers and Columbus Blue Jackets engaged in a big three-team swap earlier this week, but it appears that the two front offices are still burning up the phone lines with each other.
Revisiting earlier trade talks, a report has the Flyers and Jackets talking about a Kevin Hayes deal once again.
Despite the Provorov deal, which was prioritized, it still sounds like Hayes to #cbj is a possibility.

There have been discussions since the season ended and were primarily focused on the retention amount on Hayes' salary.
I'd expect the talks to be revisited.#FueledByPhilly
The Ivan Provorov deal took center stage this week and was seen as a higher priority. But now, according to Flyers Insider Anthony Di Marco, Hayes' name has come back to the forefront, as Columbus is still interested in obtaining the veteran to fill a need at center. It all seems to hinge on the amount of Hayes' salary that the Flyers will retain.
The 31-year-old has a massive cap hit of $7.142M with three years still to run on the contract. He posted 54 points (18 goals, 36 assists) this season in a career-high 81 games.
Trade talk surrounding Hayes dates back to the trade deadline, but Flyers GM Daniel Briere hasn't given up on dealing him yet.
