NHL Rumors: Pittsburgh Penguins & Boston Bruins Talking Major Trade

According to Andrew Fillipponi, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins have had trade talks centering around Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark.

The Bruins are desperate to clear up cap space, even after trading Taylor Hall to the Chicago Blackhawks. When noting that Jeremy Swayman is due for his raise, Ullmark has been one of the biggest names in the rumor mill. Now we know that at least Pittsburgh is interested in acquiring him.

At this juncture, Ullmark's trade value may never be better. He had a historic regular season (the playoffs, not so much), and he went on to win the Vezina and Jennings Trophy (with Swayman), so the Bruins should be able to get a good amount for him. With that, they truly could use the $5 million.

It will be intriguing to see if the Penguins and Bruins end up striking a deal centering around Ullmark from here. If they do, it would surely mark the end of UFA Tristan Jarry's time as a Penguin.
