NHL Rumors: Speculated Desired Trade Destinations For Alex DeBrincat

Alex DeBrincat's agent, Jeff Jackson, has reportedly submitted a list of preferred trade destinations for the 25-year-old winger to the Ottawa Senators.

While the specific teams on the list have not been revealed, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun speculated that the Nashville Predators, Vegas Golden Knights, Dallas Stars, and Detroit Red Wings are likely on the list.

Elliotte Friedman also revealed that DeBrincat's preferred destination is Detroit, according to his agent Jeff Jackson.

DeBrincat's desire to explore other opportunities has prompted discussions about potential trades, with the Senators aiming to maximize their return by signing him to a long-term contract before making a move.

While some have speculated about a potential trade involving goaltender Carter Hart of the Philadelphia Flyers, there are doubts about DeBrincat's willingness to commit to a long-term contract with a rebuilding team like the Flyers.

Some insiders suggest that the Senators may choose to allocate the resources they would have used to re-sign DeBrincat toward addressing other roster needs, including upgrading their goaltending and adding a proven two-way, third-line winger.

The Senators will likely aim to secure a valuable asset and a draft pick in any potential trade, as they currently lack a pick in the first three rounds of this year's draft.
