Vancouver Canucks Rumors: Draft-Day Trade On The Way

The Vancouver Canucks are expected to be a very busy team this offseason. Management isn't happy where things currently sit as far as contracts go on the team and expect to see at least one Canuck moved this summer. There's also been a ton of speculation brewing about the fact the Canucks are open to a big move at the draft table.

Currently, Vancouver is slated to pick 11th, however the pick has been rumored to be in play. General manager Patrik Allvin is trying to unload one of Tyler Myers, Oliver Ekman-Larsson or Conor Garland and with the 11th pick packaged, the deal could turn into a blockbuster move for Vancouver's GM.

Another trade candidate is Thatcher Demko, who is rumored to be an attractive piece for the Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins and Canucks have talked trade in the past, however with Kyle Dubas now running the show, things have changed.

As far as the Canucks summer goes, expect to see change. While Brock Boeser and JT Miller appear to be safe, the same can't be said on the back end. It does sound like Myers, Garland or Ekman-Larsson are on their way out at the draft.
