2 Boston Bruins Who Could Be Traded Before 2023-24 Season

Now that the busiest part of free agency is over, trade talk is starting to pick up again. As a result, this series will go over two players from each team who could be traded before the start of the 2023-24 season.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be focusing on the Boston Bruins.

Matt Grzelcyk: Matt Grzelcyk has been in the rumor mill often this offseason. It is understandable, as the Bruins need cap space, have a surplus of left-shot defenseman, and the Massachusetts native is entering the final season of his contract. Furthermore, with youngster Mason Lohrei looking potentially ready, perhaps that could be the final nail in the coffin that leads Grzelcyk to be moved.

Derek Forbort: Derek Forbort is the other left-shot defenseman who is currently in the trade talk. He carries a $3 million cap hit until the end of next season, and that is a lot of dough for a bottom-pairing defenseman who does not contribute much offensively. Thus, he is another possible trade candidate heading into the new season.
