When noting that he will be an unrestricted free agent next summer, the Flames are in a position where they must trade him instead of losing him for nothing. Several teams have been linked to the top-four defenseman, and a trade will likely be done before the start of next season.

Dan Vladar: With Dustin Wolf looking ready for the NHL, Dan Vladar has been heavily discussed in the rumor mill. Teams like the Anaheim Ducks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Buffalo Sabres have been linked to him. It is understandable, as he is a decent backup netminder with the potential to become a 1B in a tandem.
