2 Colorado Avalanche Who Could Be Traded Before 2023-24 Season

Now that the busiest part of free agency is over, trade talk is starting to pick up again. As a result, this series will go over two players from each team who could be traded before the start of the 2023-24 season.

In this latest installment of the series, we will be focusing on the Colorado Avalanche.

Devon Toews: Devon Toews has been slowly starting to come up in the rumor mill. The 29-year-old is entering the final season of his contract, and the Avalanche could look to move him instead of running the risk of losing him for nothing next summer. He would be a major asset and could help them land a top-six forward. Yet, given his importance to the team, there is a good chance he ends up staying in Colorado.

Samuel Girard: Samuel Girard has also been in the rumor mill and is arguably more likely to be dealt.. It is understandable, as the Avalanche's left side is quite deep, and Girard is another defenseman who could help them land a high-impact forward. The 25-year-old can play top-four minutes and teams looking for more offense from the point could call. In 76 games this past season, he had six goals and 37 points.
