2 Columbus Blue Jackets Who Could Be Traded Before 2023-24 Season

Now that the busiest part of free agency is over, trade talk is starting to pick up again. As a result, this series will go over two players from each team who could be traded before the start of the 2023-24 season.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be looking at the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Andrew Peeke: After adding Damon Severson and Ivan Provorov to their roster, the Blue Jackets have a surplus of defensemen. Due to this, one player who we could see on the move is Andrew Peeke. The 25-year-old would certainly be a nice addition to a team looking to improve their right side and add some physicality to their group. In 80 games last season, he had six goals, 13 points, 180 hits, and a rough minus-41 rating.

Jake Bean: Jake Bean is another defenseman who has been getting some attention in the rumor mill. The 25-year-old was limited to just 14 games this past season due to injury, posting one goal and six points. Due to Columbus' deep defensive depth, he is no longer guaranteed to play consistent minutes, so he also could be dealt for the right price.
