2 Toronto Maple Leafs Free Agents Expected to Hit Market

It appears that the Toronto Maple Leafs could be losing two of their notable UFAs. According to Pierre Lebrun, Ryan O'Reilly is heading to the UFA market. Chris Johnston, meanwhile, sent out a tweet saying that "it doesn't appear likely" that Luke Schenn will be returning to Maple Leafs.

With O'Reilly hitting the market, there will be several teams looking to sign the 32-year-old. He showed after his trade to Toronto that he can still be a very effective top-six forward. Furthermore, he is known for being an excellent leader and plays a spectacular all-around game.

Schenn, on the other hand, is coming off of the best season of his career. The 33-year-old posted four goals, 22 points, and 318 hits in 70 games split between the Vancouver Canucks and Maple Leafs.

If both of these two officially end up signing elsewhere, the Maple Leafs should be in the market for a center and right-shot defenseman. Things are forever changing during this time of year, so we will need to keep an eye on what happens with O'Reilly and Schenn from here.
