2 Washington Capitals Who Could Be Traded Before 2023-24 Season

Now that the busiest part of free agency is over, trade talk is starting to pick up again. As a result, this series will go over two players from each team who could be traded before the start of the 2023-24 season.

In this latest installment of the series, we will be focusing our attention on the Washington Capitals.

Evgeny Kuznetsov: Evgeny Kuznetsov has been in the rumor mill all offseason. It is clear that the Capitals have been listening to offers for him, and the Nashville Predators are one confirmed team who they had trade talks with about him. The 31-year-old would be a nice addition for teams looking for a new top-six center. In 81 games last season, the 31-year-old had 12 goals and 55 points.

Anthony Mantha: Anthony Mantha is another player who the Capitals have been actively looking to move. The 28-year-old is coming off of a down season, posting 11 goals and 27 points in 67 games. This and his expensive cap hit has made it hard for Washington to find a trading partner for him, but perhaps something could get done if the Caps add some sweeteners with him.
