Arizona Coyotes Sign Forward
The Arizona Coyotes have added another forward to their roster, signing Alex Kerfoot to a 2-year, $7 million contract.
The Coyotes made it known that they were going to spend money this summer, and Kerfoot is the latest signing they have made because of it. The 28-year-old is now expected to be a key part of their forward group.
When looking at Arizona’s lineup, Kerfoot should fit nicely in their middle six. This is because he offers great versatility, as he can play all three forward positions. Furthermore, he also provides solid secondary scoring when performing at his highest level. With that, he also is a solid two-way player, so he can be utilized on both the power play and penalty kill.
In 82 games this past season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Kerfoot scored 10 goals to go along with 32 points and a plus-8 rating. He will be looking to keep up those numbers with the Coyotes from here.
We will now need to wait and see how Kerfoot performs for the Coyotes. On paper, this looks like a solid signing for the Coyotes, but let’s see if that is how it plays out.
